Ultherapy™ is the gold standard non-surgical skin tightening procedure. It’s used to counteract signs of ageing like skin sagging and wrinkles on the face, neck, and chest as well as drooping of the brow area. The ultrasound energy stimulates collagen and elastic tissue, which should result in firmer skin, less sagging, and fewer wrinkles. Preparation for the procedure is minimal; it can last up to 90 minutes depending on what you are looking for. There is usually no downtime associated with Ultherapy; many patients return to work or social activities immediately after treatment.

Custom treatment plans for Ultherapy in Vancouver can be discussed during your consultation. At Sparrow MD all our Ultherapy treatments are planned and delivered by doctors with experience in the use of ultrasound imaging of the face in aesthetics.

Ultherapy in Vancouver is the only non-surgical, FDA and Health Canada-approved skin tightening procedure

Ultherapy is a non-invasive, FDA and Health Canada-approved procedure that can be used to treat a number of areas on the face as well as the chest area. Ultherapy is an exceptional and unique advanced technology for the natural treatment of skin ageing. Ultherapy is also the only existing non-invasive energy-based device that has rigorous clinical studies demonstrating outcomes for skin tightening without surgery. Therefore, it is the gold standard non-surgical skin tightening option - in the correct patient results can be similar to what you would see after surgical skin tightening without invasive surgery or the downtime associated with it.

Ultherapy is less invasive than surgery and can be done in about one hour

Unlike traditional skin tightening, which requires general anesthesia, Ultherapy in Vancouver can be done with simple numbing cream in a clinic setting This is exciting since it delivers many of the advantages of invasive skin tightening without requiring any surgery risks, hassles, or expenses.

Ultherapy is a way to make your skin better. It uses ultrasound waves and helps the skin get firmer, less wrinkly, and more elastic by producing more collagen. You do not need to prepare for the treatment much. A single Ultherapy treatment takes about 90 minutes, depending on how much you need done.

Ultherapy patients report an improvement in their appearance, including lessened lines and wrinkles. Within a few days, you should be able to see the first effects of Ultherapy. Improvements usually continue for around three months. These results will endure as long as your body continues to create new collagen.

If you’ve been wanting tighter skin on your face, neck, and chest without an invasive procedure like a facelift, Ultherapy could be a great solution for you.

Of note, a person who has had facelift surgery can have Ultherapy.

Ultherapy stimulates the production of collagen for natural-looking results

Ultherapy works by directing Ultrasound below the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis to target the SMAS. The SMAS is the deep structures that support the face and neck skin. These tissues are heated to an optimum temperature between 65-70°C. This produces small thermal coagulation zones leading to collagen denaturation, tissue tightening and subsequent new collagenesis that adds further lift months after the procedure. The focused energy avoids the upper layer of the skin and leaves it intact. The procedure has an excellent safety profile, is very well tolerated.

An ultrasound probe is used to generate real-time video pictures of the subcutaneous layers on a screen with a handpiece equipped with an ultrasound probe. This allows the energy that heats to be precisely targeted in the SMAS layer of the skin.

Ultherapy in Vancouver is safe, and we can use ultrasound technology to see inside your skin to tailor treatment to your anatomy

Ultrasound technology allows us to view areas up to 8 mm below the skin and this helps make the treatment effective and safe. Unlike other energy-based devices or injectables, often placed without ultrasound, this allows our Ultherapy in Vancouver to be tailored to personal anatomy as seen under the skin.

The pulses emitted provide a mild and brief tingling sensation. To reduce the feeling, numbing cream is frequently used. There are no side effects or mild side effects. You can go back to your daily routine right after treatment.

At Sparrow MD Ultherapy in Vancouver is performed by medical doctors trained in ultrasound technology

In most clinics, Ultherapy in Vancouver is performed not by doctors. However, at Sparrow MD we believe strongly in understanding our client's personal anatomy at the highest level possible. Because of this beyond Ultherapy, for cosmetic injections, we routinely utilize ultrasound to visualize individual clients' anatomy. Therefore, having our doctors deliver Ultherapy treatments is merely an extension of this skillset and philosophy.

We are proud of our extensive use of ultrasound in our cosmetic injections and are one of the only clinics in British Columbia trained in this technology from an overall medical aesthetics standpoint. At Sparrow MD we harness this expertise to deliver all our Ultherapy treatments in the safest most efficacious manner.

When you visit Sparrow MD for Ultherapy, you may rest confident that your doctor is an expert in ultrasound and aesthetics. What do you get as a result of this? Safer, more effective outcomes.

The effects of Ultherapy last up to two years with little maintenance required after the first year.

Studies show that results usually last beyond a year. Improvements often continue up to three months after the procedure. Most patients achieve maximum satisfaction with two sessions spaced out by 3-6 months.

Ultherapy has been clinically shown to produce noticeable improvements in up to 80-90% of individuals.

A retrospective single-arm, anonymized study found that 80% of patients undergoing Ultherapy of the cheeks noticed tightening and lifting. Two other studies demonstrated 90% improvement of the tear troughs, and in the cheeks when Ultherapy was followed up with the use of dermal fillers.

The average cost for one ultherapy session starts at $600 depending on how much skin needs to be tightened and the region treated

All our Ultherapy treatments are offered by medical doctors. These doctors are trained in ultrasound and use this technology routinely in their clinical practice with both Ultherapy and in other aesthetic medicine procedures.
