Do the treatments hurt?

Like most cosmetic treatments, cosmetic treatments like neuromodulators, dermal filler, or microneedling can be slightly uncomfortable. At Sparrow MD, we take care of clients by paying attention to the details to help reduce pain and anxiety related to treatments.

Most patients find their experience comfortable and relaxing. Topical anesthesia and cold compresses are also available before the procedure if required to make the procedure as pleasant as possible.

Additionally, our medical doctors are well trained in providing appropriate analgesic relief and we can provide prescriptions to help with pain or anxiety.

If you have more questions, please reach out to one of team members and we are happy to provide you with more information.

How do I pay for the treatment?

We accept debit, credit, or cash payments for your treatment.

After your treatment at Sparrow MD, you can generally expect minimal to no downtime. We will provide post-treatment care instructions specific to the treatment you received.

Once you become part of the Sparrow family, we will follow up with you regularly for maintenance treatments. We will customize a treatment journey that will grow and mature with you. If you have more specific questions, we encourage you to reach out to our team and we would be happy to help.

Will the treatment make me look "frozen"?

Optimized neuromodulator (BOTOX®) or dermal filler treatments should keep you looking natural and refreshed. These treatments are designed to soften lines and wrinkles. They do not affect the nerves of sensation or make you feel or look numb. Our treatment philosophy is focused on delivering natural results that are sustainable and customized to each and everyone of our clients.

Treatments at Sparrow MD is performed by experienced medical professionals that understand anatomy and can assess your face to determine the right treatment options for you.

It is normal to have worries about how you may look if you are new to getting cosmetic treatments. We encourage you to reach out to us or to book a consultation. We would be happy to answer more of your questions.

How long do the results last?

Treatment longevity will depend on the type of treatment, patient metabolism, and product choice and dosing. We will generally explain this in detail during your appointment.

Generally speaking, the results from neuromodulator treatments like BOTOX® can last three to six months. Most of our patients enjoy results from maintenance treatments every three months, whereas some will wait a little longer between treatments.

The results from dermal filler treatments will generally last longer, anywhere from 6-18 months. The longevity of treatment will depend on the location of filler, individual metabolism, and the type of filler used.

You can find answers to our other specialty treatments in the individual FAQ session. If you have specific questions, please reach out and one of our team members would be happy to assist you!

What is the ideal age to start?

This is variable and completely up to the patient. In our experience, the age that one should start cosmetic treatments depends more on anatomy, genetics, and environmental exposure than it is about age.

In the world of facial rejuvenation, age is truly just a number. Some clients start in their early 20’s and they already have wrinkles and lines whereas some start in their 40’s, and they still do not have significant facial aging or volume loss.

Moreover, we work with many clients to enhance areas like lips, cheeks, chin, nose, and jawline to help them feel more confident. It is important that our clients understand the treatment options available to them. And we make sure this is an integral part of our consultation process.

We encourage our clients to book a consultation to explore the different options available. Feel free to reach out to us for any further questions.

Will my friends know I have had treatment done?

Yes and no. A cosmetically elegant result will leave you looking refreshed, more cheerful and perhaps younger. We are careful to deliver natural results so that patients continue to look themselves and completely natural.

Often times there are signs that someone recently had neuromodulator or filler treatment, such as a smooth forehead, reduced crow’s feet, or less facial lines and wrinkles. The effect of these treatments can be tailored depending on personal preference.  You can certainly opt for more natural look if preferred.

It is also important to keep in mind that as long as you are happy with the results, it shouldn’t matter if your friends, family, or strangers can tell the difference. As we say to our family and friends at Sparrow MD, share the love!
