CROW’S FEET BOTOX VANCOUVER: TREATING WRINKLES AROUND THE EYES
Crow’s feet treatment with Botox is one of the most popular treatments at our Vancouver clinic. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and most delicate on the body. Fine lines around the corners of the eyes, dark circles, and eye bags can be common concerns as we get older. Lateral canthal lines, colloquially known as “crow’s feet” or laugh lines around the eyes, signify joy and a life well-lived. It can also be a sign of aging. Botox® treatment can help relax the muscles around the eyes that cause these wrinkles to form, rejuvenating the periorbital area and giving you a more refreshed appearance.

CROW'S FEET BOTOX VANCOUVER: HOW DOES IT WORK?
Botox® is an efficient and safe treatment for the lines around the eyes. These smile lines can be softened by feathering superficial injections around the eye area with the tap of a finger Crow's feet Botox® works by relaxing the orbicularis oculi muscle, a concentric, circular muscle behind the eyelids. This muscle is activated when you squint, smile, or close your eyelids. Botox® treatment softens the lateral muscle fibres while maintaining their other essential muscle functions. It is a non-invasive option with no downtime that treats both existing smile lines and prevents the formation of new ones.

常见问题FAQ
How many units of Botox® is usually required for crow's feet treatment?
The number of Botox® units we use for each client varies greatly depending on the goals of the client. Our average dose for this area is 10-15 units per side. This can be titrated up or down depending on your aesthetic preference and the severity of the lines we are treating.
How long does Botox® for crow's feet last?
The effects of Botox® treatment typically last 3-6 months, depending on your body chemistry. Most of our patients usually come back for maintenance every three months.
Does Botox® around the eyes make the eyes look bigger?
Botox® treatment around the eyes can make the eyes look bigger and reduce eyelid hooding. It can brighten the eye area and make our patients look less tired. For our Asian clients, who usually do not have significant periorbital lines, Botox® around the eyes can be used exclusively to improve eyelid hooding and open up the eyes.
Is filler or Botox® better for crow's feet?
Botox® is better at tackling the formation and prominence of crow’s feet, while fillers are better for restoring volume in under-eye areas. Certain softer hyaluronic acid fillers can be placed in the crow’s feet if the lines are etched into the skin. This can be discussed further with our doctors at your consultation.
At what age should I get Botox®?
While the severity of fine lines and wrinkles is a better indication, patients must be at least 18 to receive treatment. The age of our clients ranges from 20s and beyond. Our injectors always aim to create a treatment plan that best meets the aesthetic wishes of our clients.
Can Botox® for crow’s feet make eye bags bigger?
Botox® for crow’s feet does not make eye bags appear bigger. We recommend a “feathering” technique to fan the Botox® units around the lateral under-eye area. For some of our patients with malar bags or poor lymphatic drainage around the eyes, we have to be conservative with the number of Botox® units used to ensure the lymphatic drainage around the eyes is unaffected.
Can I correct crow's feet without Botox®?
We recommend regular microneedling sessions and adopting medical-grade skincare to soften the formation and prominence of these lines. ZO Skin Health’s Growth Factor Eye Cream has been very popular at our clinic due to its ability to plump up and hydrate the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines. Another favourite is Alastin’s Restorative Eye Treatment, which adds hydration to the eye area while beautifully complementing dermal filler and Botox®.
